Rebirth is based upon the open-source engine Nebula 2 and the game
framework Mangalore from the berlin-based developer Radonlabs.
Collision and physics are handled using
the ODE physics engine.
Content is created using Maya,
Photoshop, Zbrush and the Nebula 2 Toolkit. Rebirth's gameworld is built using
the Mangalore Plugin for Maya.
Rebirth uses fully dynamic
per-pixel lighting with HDR rendering and softened stencil shadows. All assets
use normal maps derived from high-res geometry for increased realism.
